This report outlines consumers perspectives on payments security in Canada in four main areas:
- General perceptions about payments security amongst online adult Canadians
- Level of concern about having payments information compromised in different payment settings
- Trust in different types of organization involved in payments
- Consumers’ experiences with fraudulent use and hacked payment information
The report draws on a selection of the findings from the Canadian Consumer Payments Survey, 2017, conducted online amongst 2,000 adult Canadians.
